Smart IPTV, often written SIPTV, is a player app for smart TVs that plays the M3U playlist from your IPTV service. Unlike most players, you do not type the playlist into the TV: you upload it on the developer's website using the MAC address the app shows. Installing Smart IPTV
The app is offered for Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) smart TVs, Android TV devices and some other platforms; availability changes over time and by region. Search the TV's app store for "Smart IPTV". If it is not listed for your model, the developer's site siptv.eu explains alternatives.
Uploading your playlist
- Open Smart IPTV on the TV and note the MAC address on the screen.
- On a phone or computer, open the playlist upload page on siptv.eu.
- Enter the MAC address exactly as shown.
- Paste your M3U URL (or upload a file) and choose whether to keep online.
- Confirm, then restart the app on the TV.

Activation
Smart IPTV can be tested for a limited period. After that, each TV must be activated with a one-off payment on the developer's website, tied to the MAC address. Smart IPTV on several TVs
Activation is tied to each TV's MAC address, so every TV needs its own activation and its own playlist upload. You can upload the same playlist URL for several MAC addresses. Keep a note of each TV's MAC address and which room it is in; it makes support requests much quicker.

The app is controlled almost entirely with the arrow keys and OK. The colour buttons usually switch between channel lists and settings, and the number keys jump straight to a channel. Spend a few minutes on the settings screen: you can change the aspect ratio, choose a different video player engine and set the programme guide offset if times are wrong.
