IPTV Smarters Pro: how to install and set it up on any device

IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most widely used IPTV player apps: it shows live channels, films, series and a programme guide from the login your IPTV service gives you. The app itself contains no channels. This guide explains where to get it safely, how to log in and how to solve the usual problems.

What IPTV Smarters Pro does

The app is a front end. You enter your service's details, and it organises the channels into groups, shows the programme guide and plays the streams. It supports both common login types:

• Xtream Codes API: server URL, username and password. Live TV, films, series and EPG load automatically.
• M3U playlist: a single URL; films and series may appear only as channels, and the EPG may need its own URL.

Where to download it safely

Logging in with Xtream Codes

1. Open the app and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
2. Enter any name for the profile, for example "Living room".
3. Enter the username and password from your provider.
4. Enter the server URL exactly as provided, including http:// and the port number if there is one.
5. Tap Add user and wait while channels, films and the guide download.

Logging in with an M3U playlist

1. Choose Load your playlist or file/URL.
2. Select M3U URL, give the playlist a name and paste the link.

Fixing common IPTV Smarters Pro errors

You can install the app on as many devices as you like, but your IPTV plan limits how many can stream at the same time. Create one profile per household member on each device if you want separate favourites. When you replace a device, simply log in again with the same details; nothing is tied to the old hardware.

Multi-screen, catch-up and recording

Depending on the platform, IPTV Smarters Pro offers a multi-screen mode that shows up to four channels at once, catch-up for channels that support it and, on some versions, recording. Each window in multi-screen mode counts as a separate stream, so a four-window layout needs a plan for four devices. Catch-up only works when the service provides it and the programme guide is correct.

• Player: switch between the built-in players if one stutters on your device.
• Time format and zone: match your location so the guide is correct.
• Parental control: lock adult or premium categories with a PIN.
• Favourites: keep daily channels one click away.
